One phone called changed our world. We went from being a child-free home, to being completely immersed in the Oregon Foster Care System. This site offers a look into our new world, and our journey through the Oregon Foster Care System. We are using this foster parent blog as an outlet for ourselves, but hope that we can provide others with insight into what it is like to be a Foster Parent. The content of this foster parent blog is based on our experiences, and they represent all of the emotions that come with being Foster Parents, raising children, navigating the System, working with DHS, interacting with bio-parents, advocating for the kids, conversations with family and friends, and our rapidly changing lifestyle.
